I remember the times when i sat down with my best coloured finely tipped microtip pen to write that letter to an old friend or family and the excitement of getting a reply via post..or the times we used to spend hours in the cards gallery to select the perfect birthday or anniversary card which used to be sent out once a year .I think if u ask anyone NOW.. they wouldnt even know the cost of sending a card via normal post.. where have the days of writing gone??
Its quite sad that in these times of electronic madness and advancement we forget the beauty of old age( can i call that) style of letters and cards.
I can bet you that EVEN NOW.. if someone were to send u a had written card/letter.. you would be MORE excited and would cherish that more than an online email and ecard. Im not saying that we shouldnt change according to the times but sometimes old is gold and more valuable. We forget or sometimes even delete an email which has come from a friend or family or that special someone ..but would we throw away a letter /card.. i dont think so..
The electronic media has robbed us of learing caligraphy..whats the use when u can have over 100 fonts to choose from at one click?? well i hope the old days do come back soon.. coz sometimes i cant even find a pen in my house!!
